Let’s Run a Johari Window
I was challenged in one of my business groups to run a Johari Window using AI based on our businesses. Now, I do understand there is nuance surrounding AI. I believe we can be mindful of how we use AI to maintain authenticity with the content we produce and acknowledge the environmental impact that maintaining data centers creates. And that’s a discussion for another time.
For those of you that don’t know, a Johari Window is a psychological tool to help people better understand themselves and how they interact with others.
The Johari Window is a four-quadrant grid, with two dimensions:
🧠What is known or unknown to yourself
🧠What is known or unknown to others
The Four Quadrants:
✅Open Area: What is known to you and to others (aka self-awareness)
✅Blind Spot: What is unknown to you but known to others (aka constructive feedback)
✅Hidden Area: What is known to you but not known to others (aka your fears and insecurities)
✅Unknown Area: What is unknown to both you and others (aka undiscovered potential and unconscious behaviors)
Why It’s Useful:
👍Encourages self-awareness
👍Builds trust through openness
👍Improves communication and relationships
👍Identifies areas for personal or professional growth
During the next few weeks, watch out for blogs where I walk through the Johari Window to highlight what Duality Pelvic Health and Wellness represents in Eugene, Oregon!
